Hi everyone!

I'm posting today for a very important reason. As you know, Immeritus is a community offering free membership to all. We generate some funds from advertising and Cafepress sales, but the bulk of our operating costs are paid for by donations we get from us, the members. Mag posted about this in Helping Out. Lately, though, donations have dropped off considerably (this month we've gotten just $5). When shortfalls happen or we get no donations at all, Mag has paid for our server out of her own pocket--and with the upgrade to the new server at the end of last year, our costs have gone up. If we can't generate funds, Immeritus won't be able to stay online. I know everyone is being affected by the struggling global economy, but if we want to save Immy, we must act now!

Won't you please join me and donate to Immy? You can do so by donating directly through the Treasury, by clicking on our ads (they earn us some money!), purchasing something from our Cafepress Shop, using Immy's own Google search engine for web searches (this earns us money too!), or by getting something from Mrs. Weasley's Wizarding Wonders in The Burrow.

We need sustained funds to keep Immy going, even a couple of dollars a month will help. So will you?

And Immeritarians rock! When I saw Pen's appeal, donations were already flooding in - it was so quick! 'Immy in Need' - and the figures go up... It just shows how much we all love this place!

I've changed my home page to Immy google and I use that for every search I used to do on google. I used to do a whole lot of googling, since I can't really afford to donate directly to the treasury, I'll Immy google as much as humanly possiable. Already it is helping me with an essay for school yay!

I'll do my best to convince my friends to hit our cafepress store for my birthday gifts this year. I've already bought something from the comissions and I'l probably use it again in the future. I'm not so fond of ad clicking but if it will bring Immy some much needed cash I'll do my part.

I also plan to recomend the Immy google to all my friends, even the non-HP ones.

That's ok, chrissy. There are many other ways to keep Immy in funds, as I said in the opening post. Clicking on our ads and using Immy's Google search engine to search the Internet are free to your pocket. Check them out!

Imoogle is a mandatory thing in our house. It is teh awesome mix of Immy and google! We use it pretty much daily.

Wow, I can't imagine not having Immy around, even though I only visit every so often. It was such a big part of my life these last few years, and randomly perusing the site just brings back the most amazing memories. I am Immoogling whenever I can and clicking on ads like crazy and one day, when I can, I will definitely donate. Immy gave me friends, some so close I could almost call them family, and gave me alot of love when life was very unpleasant. I can never forget that, and all I can do to repay that debt is to help keep Immy alive. And I will do my very best.

Yikes- Immy has become a daily part of my day. I dunno how I could manage with this site down. I'm sorry I can't make any direct donations (our pockets are scraped dry), but Immoogle is steadily replacing Google all together.

i really want to donate some money to help Immy keep running, but my mum can't let me use her paypal account for the time being I'll most definitely try and donate in the foreseeable future!
