So, I searched around for things on the music we listen to, and found one kind of odd thing, but really nothing else.

But Heart got me to thinking...she mentioned she was currently listening to Ashlee Simpson, but was really more into things like Red Hot Chili Peppers.

I have this theory that the current music we are listening to will forever be changing-no matter who our favorites are. Our favorites are our favorites, but they are not necessarily what we listen to from day to day.

So, this is NOT "What is your favorite music?"...'caues I reckon most of you are like me and could go on for hours. It is what are you listening to right now...what CD's are in the old 3 disc changer or in the car. RIGHT NOW.

In my car stereo right now is:

Josh Rouse-Under the Cold Blue Stars

it is regularly rotating with

the eponymous Phantom Planet

In my 3 disc changer at home is:

Josh Rouse-1972

Teitur-Poetry and Aeroplanes

Calexico-a mix from different albums made by a friend

What does it mean? I'm in a mood...lamenting obtuse boys...Phantom Planet is for those moments when lament turns into anger....it's such a good break-up record-as in, written right after a break-up...

So tell me, what's in your CD players at this moment and what does it say about little ole you...Post as many times as you like...I tend to go in about 1 week waves, so I'll check in and update every week.

<span style="color:teal;font-family:times new roman;font-size:x-small;]&quot;Woah...&quot; said Sirius, picking up a Prisoner of Azkaban lego, &quot;What the hell...&quot;

Remus was grimacing at his own plastic imitation. &quot;Lord, they make me look old...&quot;

he trailed off as the Wolfpack comforted him.

Side by Side by Sondheim - love him

Plus a bunch of mixed music...

Well, I usually listen to music on the computer cause I download it...and right this second, I'm listening to Maroon 5 - Songs about Jane. Mainly because my current favourite song is on that album and I can't stop listening to it. I really should, cause then I'll get bored of it and I'd hate for that to happen...I love the video for that song and it reminds me of someone I know...I won't bore you with the details, however.

And in my CD player...Red Hot Chili Peppers - Californication (yay, Heart!). I always listen to that CD cause it reminds me of this holiday I went on with my friends to France - we always listened to it in the car at night. And also cause it's a great album and I'm somewhat addicted. But I was listening to Placebo - Sleeping with Ghosts a few minutes ago. That one always reminds me of when I went to see Placebo in concert with my friends and sneaked entry into the downstairs bit (we were meant to have sitting tickets but they give you this UV stamp thing when you're standing and my friend got one and just rubbed it off on my hand....wow, I'm such a rebel...haha). And I have something of a fascination with Brian Molko.

And in my CD player in my room....The Corrs - Talk on Corners. I have loved that album for years, definitely prefer it to In Blue...some crazy stuff on there. I always end up thinking really deeply when I listen to music...and it's weird how all the songs on the album can put me in a different mood. Hmm. I sadly am not lucky enough to have their new album, but Forgiven Not Forgotten was great too.

On the radio - some appalling remixed dance track which is making me want to pick up my keyboard and chuck it at my stereo.

Hey BlackDog! Great Topic!

In my CD Player at the moment:

Car: The latest Corrs album Borrowed Heaven. I love the Corrs and listen to them anytime, no particular mood necessary. Although I have to mention that their last album (In Blue) wasn't up to par for them. There wasn't enough Celtic influence in it and it seemed too mainstream for my taste. So I guess that's what that says about me, I love all things Celtic.

Apartment: The Eurythmics Peace. Rather old by now I think, but still good music. Slightly melancholic and dreamy. That sort of sums up a particular corner of my personality that likes to appear when I'm alone.

I'd be a liar if I said I didn't have the Troggs cds in my car, and you all would call me on it. Along with Cellophane and Mixed Bag, there is a neat little bootleg called Hen's Teeth.

But those stay there. I've been listening to Iron Maiden's Seventh Son album (cassette) and Bruce Dickinson (of Iron Maiden) Balls to Picasso (also cassette). Let me run down and check my turntable (all kinds of media in this house)....looks like our last game of pool we were listening to Saga Wildest Dreams.

I've been meaning to dig out some Biohazard and Ex Members of, though.

Now, if anybody else has even heard of any of that, I'll be surprised. I've been too busy the last couple of years to keep up with new music trends.

In my CD player in my room..i have the soundtrack to The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. I listen to the soundtracks to the trilogy when i'm stressed or angry..to calm me down. Plus the whole sound fascinates me, i'd love to play in an orchestra when i'm older, though i don't think saxophonists are much required, and i'll never be good enough on a violin.

At this precise moment, i'm listening to Finch on windows media player. I'm addicted to them, the songs just dont get any more boring the more i listen to them. Brilliant band.

Lessee... in my car is a burnt CD that I made that is awesome... it has Yellowcard, Paul McCartney, Sugarcult, the Romantics, Greenday, and a bunch of other goodies.

In our family van is the Spiderman 2 soundtrack. My mom hates that kind of music, but I was the one driving, so I got to choose. <img border=0 src="http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/happy.gif" />

There aren't any CD's in either of my stereos (both 3-disc changers) because I would much rather listen to the raio. I haven't listened to my discman all summer, so I really don't know if there is a CD in there or not.

Most of the time I'd rather listen to the radio, or if I'm on the computer Y! Launchcast, or my mp3's.Cheers!~Des~

A bass beat began to pound through the room as Umbridge pumped up the volume. To everyone's horror, Umbridge pushed Shackles off the desk and climbed up, conjuring up giant laser lights and began to sing along... &quot;I - LIKE - BIG BUTTS AND I CANNOT LIE! I only listen to my favorite music, so the CDs in my CD players are likely to remain there. Right now...

U2's "All That You Can't Leave Behind." I really like this cd. I never really paid much attention to it until recently. "Beautiful Day" really is a good song, as is "Walk On."

Well, here's the thing...i haven't bought a cd since Slipknot's Iowa album came out in like...2001...because RIAA totally irritates me. So, i solely download all of my newer music, and have all of my own cd's burned down to MP3 to share with others online. Gah... I could post on this thread every day and it would be different.

Right now I'm listening to Loveless "Gift to the World," at the suggestion of a friend who knows me pretty well. I like it a lot. Same friend also turned me on to Ben Arthur.

In my car, I've got my Jason Mraz Live Album in, it's been in for about a week now. (I adore Jason Mraz like no one should be allowed to.) Just pulled Virginia Coalition

I'm by no means a pop music princess, but a lot of the artists I fall in love gain popular status after I've known and loved them. Jason is one of them, John Mayer another, Maroon Five another (but I knew them as Kara's Flowers).

At work right now I have Norah Jones, Diana Krall, and Frank Sinatra. And a local band, Luzer. If you can find them, you should buy it. I predict their fame.

I heard Beth Orton in the mall today, so I may need to pull that CD out again.

In my portable CD player the 2nd installment of "The Rolling Stones: Forty Licks" is playing. They are my fav. band, I love 'em.

The soundtrack from "Spirited Away"is in my stereo. It's one of the best soundtracks in the world. It's got everything... I've listened to it over a hundred times, literally.

In the computer right now I'm listening to a CD my friend and I just bought at a concert by a band called Moment In Grace.

In the car it's Taking Back Sunday - Where You Want to Be.

Ooh, cool topic. Right now, Best of Guns 'n Roses is in the car. I love driving to them. Hehe, Sirius is mine or no, I have to admit I think he would be proud of my driving. Dashing around terrorising all the pram-pushers in this sleepy hollow of a town.

Sadly, my cd player STILL needs an Aussie plug, which I really should do...so I can only play cd's though the dvd player and the TV is currently on Olympics, but I think the last CD in there was U2 - Best of 1980-1990, followed by Rodriguez - Cold Fact, and Billy Joel Ultimate Collection~Ginny

Hahahaha, but BlackDogstar, those are what happens to be in my "cd player" at any given moment. It's not my fault you guys still have discs to rely on, hahaha, the beautiful mp3 format is just handy. No more having to flip thru my giant 200 disc folder of cd's to listen to like 1 or 2 songs on an album, and then go hunting for another cd for the same.
