*snaps* to online applications (that I didn't get rejected for, lol) because it allowed me to finally get some applications turned in instead of taking them, filling them out, then promptly forgetting about them.

*snaps* to the cute teacups I bought today, and the really really cheap but pretty nice-looking clock that, at first glance looks fancy but really isn't (that's the kind of thing I love though! Haha). I got it at a resale shop for $6.50, and it's 20 inches tall, black (painted wood), has a pretty face, a pendulum, and pretty golden swirlies on the glass in front. Of course, the pendulum runs on an electric motor and you actually plug the clock into the wall, but it's the fanciest clock I own (the only mechanical clock I have is a tacky looking fashion wrist watch with huge rhinestones everywhere, but I loooove the sound of it). I can love fancy things and still not be able to afford them, but that doesn't mean I shouldn't have a pretty bedroom (and the tickety-tickety of a watch that's cooler than regular tick ticks. Bo~ring.)

*snaps* to visiting an antique gallery today. Beautiful things there. I wanted all the phones and clocks and watches and teacups and lamps and lanterns in the whole place. Ooh, and this really fancy furniture set (couch, loveseat and chair) that will never be in my price range. Ever. Not that I got to see them all (Sooo many things to see) or like I'll ever be able to afford them all. Just sayin'.

*snaps* (or is it pokes? I'm not quite sure at this point) to being hopelessly addicted to pretty and/or fancy-looking things. Notice how I say fancy-looking rather than fancy. Also notice how the fancy clock I just bought was under $7. XDD hahahahaha

*snaps* to finally nailing my bookcase to the wall so it won't fall over, finally giving me more than two shelves for my books (and dvds) I filled it up immediately. It's so strange not to see books all over the floor
But it also makes me sad to know that those are the only books I really have ('cept the ones from when I was little packed away in a box in God-knows-where)

Not true with my clock (not that it stopped me from buying it). The pendulum moves in a really unnatural way, and the glass (which I think is plastic) has scratches all over it, but the scratches you can't really see from a distance.

It's cute! I can't wait to get the zippers (and black thread) so I can put in the lining

It's also a lot bigger than I thought it would be when I saw the pattern, but it's not bigger than I would like either. It's kind of perfect-sized, actually. I'll have to figure out how to do zippers properly so I can do an inner pocket, and, you know, the main zipper, without ruining it all.

As we left the park last night at 10:30pm, it was just getting down to about 89F (32C, hehe, in Fahrenheit, that's freezing) Why can't the pool be open early in the morning?

*snaps* to Barnes and Noble. I always forget how much I love that store until I step back inside They had an hourglass there. I want an hourglass o____o After counting the clocks in my room (which, I've actually never done, huh, maybe I should *counts*), umm, that would be fifteen if you count the ones that don't run that I have on display but don't count the countless watches I have, one of which is a wind-up that works but I don't display/wear (the wristband is broken and it's got ugly fake crystals in it, but it makes the most beautiful ticking noise and I see all the pretty insides) and my desire since I was, I dunno like 5, to have a collection of hourglasses, I think I may be obsessed with time as a whole, not just clocks (explains why I always notice the time-related stuff that makes no sense... like the time turners in the Department of Mysteries would not bounce up putting the glass back together, they'd reappear. Shows what I get for having a nerd as a father, I guess? hahahaha................ha... heh) but clocks and hourglasses... for real. <3

Usually instead of a healthy medium, it just alternates between extreme heat and cold (well, for us it's still like winter) until it's 'summer' usually around April or May, I guess. I'm not happy about it being summer. I'm ready for summer to be over only to find that it's only just officially begun. I just wish it was always autumn, haha

Trip got delayed. Hrumph. But, I'm quite obviously still here so....

Up here there's really only a couple weeks of summer and about the same amount of time for spring. The seasons are usually considered to be winter, still winter, gosh it's really cold up here does this season never end?!, and road construction. I'm considering moving further south. =D
